Features of the Cuisinart Bread Machine
The chic, brushed stainless steel design with some unique features of the Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Maker coupled make this device an attractive buy. It is a good bread machine, but it is not perfect. The following points may help you decide whether it is right for you.
The most impressive design feature of the Cuisinart CBK-200 bread maker is the fan convection bake program. As in a conventional oven, air circulates around the dough as it bakes, making the bread a uniform colorwith a crunchy crust. The convection program is voluntary, so you do not use it every time you bake, but it's great to get it there if you want it.
The LCD is small, but it is clear and easily understood. The screen shows the remaining time, the loaf size, crust color and baking cycle information. Select the preset options by clicking in a corresponding number. There are also buttons to choose to crust color, timer, and a button to turn on and off the turn"Mix-ins" option.
There are 16 bake cycles chose from, including whole wheat, rapid whole wheat, French / Italian, fast French / Italian, dough / pizza dough, artisan dough, low-carb, gluten free, sweet breads, last-minute bread, and bake only. You can make further refinements of these cycles, like changing the color and size loaf, which is a total of 101 cycles. The low-carb and gluten-free programs are very nice-to-have features that can not on other bread machines.
TheArtisan dough program is definitely worth a try, with basic dough can rise by several long, cool down for more interesting textures and rustic crusts.
What angers many people is the fact that it is baked to dig the MIXING PADDLE once the bread. This is not so with the Cuisinart CBK-200 bread machine. As well as an audible signal to advise when you add to other ingredients, there's another one to advise you when the kneading is done, you can remove the paddle too.
Theabove are the most important and best features of the Cuisinart bread machine, but it lacks some features and some that it could be improved upon.
The device does not work with a preheat cycle to come (whole grain is the exception). Other machines offer this so that you do not need to remember to heat your water, milk, egg, bread, etc. for some recipes.
Although it claims to be a horizontal bread machine, it is really a hybrid between a horizontal and vertical book. It would bebetter if there was one or the other. Also, there are only a paddle, which sometimes means that not all leads kneading the mixture in bread with floury corners. It would have been much better, it had two paddles, as it was in the Zojirushi bread machine.
However, it is clean, the biggest problem in the Cuisinart bread maker. The retro design with stainless steel sides with black trim cover can look great, but the padding and the fuzzy cover to clean it easier for a real hassleTimes. Virtually all other brands offer smooth edges design with a removable lid for cleaning an easy task. I think the design was a mistake and is an example of the style takes precedence over function, but where function was impaired.
Having said that, I want to give the Cuisinart CBK-200 bread machine is a high rating, and would agree with many customer reviews. It may not be the best, but the features you get for the price you pay, make it an attractive offer.
